Dentist

Born and bred in Germany, Dr Wolfgang Evers graduated as a dentist from the University of Goettingen in 1987. He then completed research in preventive dentistry, gaining a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry.

Prior to his university years, Dr Evers completed a three year full-time apprenticeship as a dental technician in Bremen. He worked in several dental laboratories fabricating crowns and bridges.

After a further three years of training and study through the Australian Dental Council while still in Germany, Dr Evers gained the qualifications required to practise in Australia. He relocated to Townsville in March 2000, joining Smile the following July.

More recently, Dr Evers has completed in-house training and studies with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

Dr Evers has particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. As a fully trained and qualified dentist in both Europe and Australia, he brings valuable knowledge and skills to Smile Dental. He is assisted by Rebecca Jezzard.

Dr Evers has gold crowns and fillings. His last cavity was in 1987. He and Dr Arnold are planning a cosmetic dentistry program involving porcelain crowns or veneers.

Dr Evers' interests include photography, film, fine art and travelling. He likes nothing more than a night out at a good Townsville restaurant with friends and a hearty Aussie red.
